Events calendar Montreux

Traditional festival in Montreux, with market/livestock competition, balls and concerts. Just before the Brent Fair, the Old Town hosts a typical Montreusian event: the Planches fair. For two centuries, we have been celebrating for a long weekend the end of the work of the fields and we come to the fair with its most beautiful cattle. Today, this old celebration is also accompanied by various animations, artisans' stands, but also vaults open until late in the night… An event not to be missed!

Santa's House at Rochers-de-Naye is a must-see if you have young children. Located at an altitude of 2,042 meters, you can visit Santa's house and office by taking the Santa Train, a small cogwheel train. The climb itself is well worth the detour, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Once there, children will have the chance to meet the real Santa and leave with a small gift. Enchanting characters and decorations add to the magical atmosphere. In addition to the visit to the house, the town of Montreux offers many other activities and events to celebrate Christmas, such as the Christmas Market on the Place du Marché, the Quais en fête and the Cabane des Bûcherons, as well as events at the Château de Chillon.
