Founded over two hundred years ago by Friedrich Knie, in 1803 to be exact, the Swiss National Circus is one of the oldest in Europe. Every year, it plants its big top on Place Bellerive, with its share of acrobats, animals, clowns and comedians. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful circus in Switzerland, which performs every year in its shows. The acts are designed to surprise the audience in terms of innovation and action. To renew itself, the circus does not hesitate to make beautiful collaborations as well as to propose tours all over Switzerland.

An unmissable cultural scene in Lausanne, the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne is a centre for Swiss theatre and choreographic creation located on the shores of Lake Geneva and created for the 1964 national exhibition. It has three halls and an outdoor big top in which classical and contemporary performances are programmed. After the performance, it offers numerous accompaniment devices around the works and the actors sometimes mingle with the public in the café (small catering) or on the terrace, which is very pleasant in summer.
