The Café Romand is the heir to the golden age of the great Lausanne brasseries, and one of the last authentic pints in the canton of Vaud. Sitting in a typical wooded setting of yesteryear, you will enjoy traditional dishes as well as omelettes, sandwiches and soups. The Café Romand, which has existed since 1951, is an institution in Lausanne. The service could be more pleasant, but its roughness is part of the décor! Its large bay window illuminates this old painting with a thousand lights to add a pleasant touch of modernity.

Chinese restaurant with discreet decor and reasonable prices, which is rare for this kind of establishment in Switzerland. Dynasty sees itself as a fast-food, but in reality it works like any restaurant and the server comes to take orders. But, unlike a restaurant, you are sure to be served quickly! At lunchtime, clients are mainly employees working in the neighbourhood. On sunny days, you enjoy the large balcony overlooking the square of Saint Francis.

La Coccinelle Café is a spacious and warm restaurant or tea room, with a dominant sunny color. The cuisine is simple and offers a little bit of everything, with an emphasis on fresh products: pasta, burgers, sandwiches, big salads or jacket potatoes. For dessert, the homemade pies are very good, especially the apple pie. Outside of the meals, you can enjoy the good atmosphere of the place and the small library for a moment of reading accompanied by a succulent hot chocolate. In summer, you can sit on the few tables outside.

Although there are a few seats, Tayta's main focus is on take-away sales. Todo es hecho no in Peru, mas aqui in casa, which means home-made. Handcrafted empanadas, cooked on the spot the same day.

With more than a dozen giant screens scattered throughout the bar, the Bulldog is the place to watch all your sporting events: football, rugby, tennis, basketball, motor sports, ice hockey... Nothing is forgotten, and the atmosphere is always guaranteed! To accompany these broadcasts, the menu offers a wide choice of dishes (in addition to beers or cocktails). From pasta or burgers to pizzas, toast or dishes to share (chicken drumsticks, nachos, fried squid...), you're sure to find what you're looking for.

Located in the heart of Lausanne, the Pavilion's large terrace stretches all the way to the Place de la Riponne. Here, people come at any time of the day to enjoy a coffee in the sun (or under the covered terrace, depending on the weather), as well as very good cocktails. The menu also features good small dishes to accompany your drinks. Suggestions change weekly, but the regulars also enjoy a good pizza, served on its wooden board. Pleasant welcome and beautiful decoration in the dining room.

Pancs offers a new way of eating pancakes. But in this new and nicely decorated establishment, it is especially the welcome that seduced us. We feel the team is passionate, and their advice makes you want to taste everything! This time, we opted for the smoked salmon pancake with poached egg, spinach and homemade sauce, accompanied by a maple syrup pancake for dessert. We'll definitely be back to try the chicken teriyaki one! On the spot or to go, it's always a delight to go to Pancs.
