A special atmosphere emerges from this covered market created in 1877, perhaps because these are the only real places in Geneva where all these professionals of good fortune coexist in the right mood. It comes to product quality and plenty of choice. Rare products as everyday products, Swiss specialities as a culinary delights come together here. Local cheeses, double cream, dried meat, longeoles, seafood, fresh fish, foie gras, complete bread, fresh pasta, Lebanese pastry or Chinese noodles, all make sense. Prices are high, but the quality of the products is first order. Don't forget to stop at the P'tit bistro in the centre to take a coffee, a glass of white or one of their good dishes.
