This small town in the heart of the Beskid Sądecki Mountains is considered the pearl of Polish spas, thanks to its remarkable location, rather mild weather and highly regarded mineral water. Founded in 1547, Krynica-Zdròj became a spa only in the middle of the 19th century thanks to the project of Joseph Dietl, a renowned doctor from the Jagiellonian University. Famous personalities such as the writer Sienkiewicz, the musician Jan Kiepura and the painters Jan Matejko and Nikifor stayed here. Krynica-Zdròj.
