A stone's throw from the border with Poland, Brest is the symbolic bridge between the West and the East. Here, trains from the west stop for a few hours before continuing their journey eastwards. From the border onwards, the rails become wider and it is therefore necessary to change the bogies (carriages located under the wagons and on which the wheels are fixed) of the train!
