Museography showing the history of Avranches and Mont Saint-Michel from the Gallo-Roman era
It’s an unexpected place, and one that should surprise you! The modern Scriptorial boasts a magnificent museography. Visitors are taken through the history of Avranches and Mont from Gallo-Roman times, to the Middle Ages and the discovery of manuscripts. This journey takes in a corpus of some 700 digitised images, enabling virtual manipulation of the manuscripts, the treasure room, where volumes from the Mont monastery library are on display, and finally the printing works.
