Museography showing the history of Avranches and Mont Saint-Michel from the Gallo-Roman era
It’s an unexpected place, and one that should surprise you! The modern Scriptorial boasts a magnificent museography. Visitors are taken through the history of Avranches and Mont from Gallo-Roman times, to the Middle Ages and the discovery of manuscripts. This journey takes in a corpus of some 700 digitised images, enabling virtual manipulation of the manuscripts, the treasure room, where volumes from the Mont monastery library are on display, and finally the printing works.

Le musée est idéal pour les familles, les tablettes tactiles proposent des quizz à chaque salle, beau parcours bien conçu expliquant la fabrication d'un manuscrit. Une lecture à plusieurs échelles en fonction de l'âge. Au centre du musée, une dizaine d'originaux sont préservés de manière alternative sur les 90 que comporte la collection.
