Opened in 1508, it is the oldest Gasthof in the city!

This retro-decorated establishment is located in the city center and has direct access to the market square. It is the oldest gasthof in Coburg and was opened in 1508! It is housed in a beautiful dark green building and has a lovely inner courtyard. The interior decoration was completely redone in 2005, keeping the old character of the Goldenes Kreuz while adding modern touches. Not surprisingly, the menu features Franconian specialties: you can try the Coburger Klößen for example.
