The palace was the residence of the prince-bishops in the century and today houses the town's administrative offices.

This former residential palace, in its present form, was completed in 1588-1589. The ravages of time have left their mark, so that extensive restoration and renovation measures are currently under way to bring it back to life. The Renaissance palace was once the residence of the prince-bishops of Bamberg in the 18th century. Today it houses the city's administrative offices. The adjoining garden offers a pleasant stopover.
