Reconstructed former Benedictine convent featuring a fresco and spectacular panoramic view from the church terrace.
This former Benedictine monastery was built in 1015 by order of Emperor Henry II, but it was devastated by fire and rebuilt in 1610 in the Baroque style. Inside, the visitor can admire a fresco representing no less than 578 flowers and medicinal plants! Outside, a spectacular panoramic view awaits you on the terrace behind the church. In addition, the vineyards on the slopes of the monastery garden have undergone a renaissance: since 2011, there is once again a sylvaner, made according to the old traditions.
