Sensitive natural site with waterfalls near Vire
South of Vire, this sensitive natural site is the place to relax under the canopy of trees in summer to the rhythm of the murmuring river, or for an introduction to geology in any season. Here, the Vire has cut its way through the granite magma, forming a 220-meter-long drop and waterfalls. This is the same blue-grey granite that was quarried in the surrounding area. Blocks of granite, or "balls", still remain in the riverbed.
