Another Wittelsbach castle, which can be visited today with a guide.

One of the residences of the Wittelsbachs, whose origins probably date back to the 12th century, displaying various architectural styles. Some of the wings are still inhabited today by the family's descendants. Beautiful baroque interior, splendid Renaissance marble portico, Romanesque cloister from the 12th century. Museum dedicated to the art of hunting (Rehmuseum) in the stables adjacent to the castle. Nothing particularly impressive to justify the high ticket price.
