Convenient cable car to the Obersalzberg summit at over 1,000 m.

Convenient cable car to the top of the Obersalzberg, at over 1,000 m. This historic cable car, built in 1949, takes you high above Berchtesgaden in summer and winter. At the top, there are several options for hiking or sporting activities (winter and summer tobogganing). From the station it is another 20-30 minutes walk to the documentation centre (easy access) and 2 hours to the Eagle's Nest. If you are staying in the area, show your Gästekarte to receive a one euro discount.
