Prien am Chiemsee is a German town on Lake Chiemsee. Among the town's tourist attractions is Chiemsee-shipping Ludwig Feßler KG, a shipping company offering boat trips on the lake. Another popular attraction is the Chiemsee-Bahn, a former steam tramway line linking Prien railway station with the port of Prien/Stock. Steam train journeys take place at weekends, while diesel train journeys take place on weekdays. Prien am Chiemsee is also famous for its castle, Schloss Herrenchiemsee, which is open all year round, except for official receptions. Ne pas hésiter à utiliser les bateaux pour visiter le lac Chiemsee. Plusieurs trajets sont proposés afin de débarquer à différents points du lac.

Malheureusement les paysans bavarois qui gèrent les croisières sont restés figés dans l'esprit du début des années 50 !!
Aucun dépliant ni renseignement en anglais , en français, en italien en espagnol !
Seuls les germanophones sont les bienvenus. Pour ajouter à la ringardise : il faut payer cash , tant pour les croisières que pour le parking obligatoire et cher, ainsi que pour les WC (0,50 €).
En bref, pas de cartes Visa ou Mastercard acceptées, c'est le retour au tourisme germano - germain des années 1950 . Dommage !
