If you're dreaming of a radically cool place, where nature is not just a setting but the goal of the adventure, this is the place to come: to a beautiful house orchestrated by Frank and Susy, a German-American couple based in Tarrafal, surrounded by tropical greenery and right on the beach. A good address where the watchword is authenticity, and where the atmosphere lends itself to disconnection and the possibility of slowing down time. Activities include cocktails in front of the sunset, lounging and hiking in the surrounding area.

Nous avons séjourné en couple 3 nuits au mar Tranquilidade. Point positif : hôtel bien situé, à l'entrée du village avec jardin ombragé pour les repas et lieu privé en bord de mer.
Points négatifs : déçus par le niveau de prestation de la chambre pas entretenue (pas d'eau chaude et débit très faible de la douche) / les photos du site ne sont pas le reflet de la réalité.
Pour les randonnées, des sandwichs inacceptables et il faut se battre pour avoir une omelette au petit déjeuner !

Most likely the best place to stay in tarrafal, in large part thanks to Tatiana, the most lovely lady who manages the hotel while the owners are away. Her smile and laugh brightens the whole village on a cloudy day. This is a place where one notices that the staff is loved and respected. It is also the best buffet dinner in Cape verde.

Encontramos uma praia calma, limpa, com pessoas simpaticas e um anfitrião muito prestável. Surpreendente, pela positiva. Esperamos voltar :)

I had the sweet pleasure of staying at the hotel for 3 nights. The desert crossing to get there is simply breathtaking. The hotel is perfect for people who want to disappear from the world. The food is excellent. You get attached to the slow pace and freedom of spirit that the place gives you. It's a place of simplicity and heart. I've had some extraordinary encounters, rich discussions and laughter. Special mention to the manager, who was very kind right up to the end of my trip and always ready to listen. I recommend it for travelers looking for simplicity and authenticity and that are not afraid of insects. Anik from Montreal!

- Franck et Susie ne nous ont même pas dit au revoir ! Aucun rapport avec eux, on a l impression de les embêter ! Le prix n était pas celui qu ils m avaient dit ! Et pour les conseils (rando, visite etc...) On attend toujours !
Réglementation de 10 pages en arrivant...mais on ne presice pas qu il n' y a pas d eau chaude !!
Désolée mais non on changera pour autre part la prochaine fois.
