Belem Tower with a beautiful view, replica of the one in Lisbon, houses the Museu do Mar recalling stories related to fishing

Built between 1918 and 1921, this is a much smaller replica of the one in Lisbon. You have to climb to the very top to get a good view of the rooftops and fish markets, perfect for discreetly snapping photos of the women shucking the day's catch. The tower now houses the Museu do Mar, presenting snippets of fishing-related history, objects, photos and poetry, an interesting but still incipient educational initiative. Of particular note are the metal crucifixes used to convert slaves.

La tour de belem est une reproduction de celle de Lisbonne en beaucoup plus petite elle est située à côté du marché aux poissons. Rien d'exceptionnel.

Petite tour de Belem, rien à voir avec l'original. Malgré tout, intéressante. On peut monter sur son toit. Très belle vue sur le port et l'arrivée des bateaux de pécheurs qui rentrent au port. Visite d'un musée intéressant pour les adultes et l'histoire des lieux

dans ce parc on peut découvrir la tour de Bélèm, le monument des découverte erigé à la mémoire des navigateurs portugais .

Visite libre permettant de retracer l'histoire navale avec croquis et maquettes. Mais l'essentiel, à mon avis, est de pouvoir découvrir la ville du haut de la Tour.
