Petit Futé's opinion on BAR-BISTRO SANTO ANDRE
Per, a Swede, and his partner Etienne run an excellent restaurant that is appreciated by Cape Verdeans and foreigners alike. He goes to the market himself to do his shopping and collect shellfish from passing fishermen. With the help of a local team, he cooks Cape Verdean and Mediterranean inspired dishes with a little African touch, in reference to Burkina Faso, the chef's country of origin. A tasty cuisine based on local products that Etienne buys directly from the market, such as the famous octopus that is always tender. We also like the flowered terrace under the pergola, the rustic setting and the location a few steps from the fine sandy beach.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, from noon to 3pm and from 6:30pm to 10pm. Sunday, from noon to 8pm. 5 children's dishes and 5 vegetarian dishes available. Menu 15 € starter + dish or dish + dessert. Won first prize at the "Feastival do Kavala" (mackerel) in 2021.
