Eine riesige Hotelanlage, was sich vielleicht zuerst nicht nach Ruhe und Erholung anhört, wurde in einem sehr guten Konzept so umgesetzt, dass für jeden was dabei ist. Durch die große Anlage verläuft sich alles sehr gut und man hat nie das Gefühl, dass es zu voll ist. Animateure sind sehr aktiv, man kann immer etwas unternehmen. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit des Personals sind einfach atemberaubend! Ein dickes Lob! Immer ein Lächeln und freundlich - wirklich " No Stress" Mentalität, die einen gestressten Europäer mal entspannen lassen. Ob Ruhe im Adultbereich oder Party an der Poolbar, Beachvolleyball oder ein Strandspaziergang an dem wunderschönen langen Strand - Hier ist alles möglich. Essen wird vor den Augen zubereitet und frisch aufgefüllt, es gibt eine riesen Auswahl an Getränken und den besten Kaffee in der Bar direkt gegenüber der Rezeption. Klar, der Stil und die Ausstattung der Zimmer gleicht nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel in Europa, aber muss es das?
Ich würde mir noch für die Suiten eine Lounge oder Liege auf dem Balkon wünschen, um mal abends von dort aus die Sterne zu beobachten.
Insgesamt ein sehr sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub - Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder!

Uitstekend mooi hotel met vriendelijk personeel, goede service aan het strand maar ver weg van de bewoonde wereld.

Hotel 5 étoiles mais pour les garder il faudrais le renover car tout est resté comme a sa construction.
Pour le Wi-Fi payant 50€ la semaine c'est pas normal pour un cinq etoiles.

Clairement ce n’est pas un 5 étoiles.
Au mieux 4.
Globalement l’hôtel est sympa. Mais pour être du niveau d’un 5 étoiles il manque beaucoup de chose :

Il n’y a aucun nécessaire de toilette dans les chambre. Pas de crème. Pas de shampoing. Pas de coton tige…
Le savon à dispo dans la douche est clairement bas de gamme.
Les serviettes des salles de bains et de la piscine devraient être renouvelées.
La nourriture est toujours là même. A tous les repas. Si vous voulez du changement il faut réserver dans les restaurants. Aucune soirée avec un thème spécial. Aucun plats locals.
Les transats sont envahis dès 7:30 du matin par les ploucs qui a priori jouent leur vie si jamais ils n’ont pas de place. Ces meme personnes que l’on ne reverra pas de la journée. Et personne ne fait la chasse.
La plage est superbe. Mais a priori les maîtres nageurs ne veulent pas se fouler et donc drapeau rouge. Autant se dire que tout le monde est dans l’eau à 17h01 quand ils sont partis.

Sinon nous avons eu la chance d’avoir des chambres tout au bout de l’hôtel donc très calmes.
Les chambres sont correctes. De toutes façons on y passe peu de temps.

Pour ce qui est de l’odeur dans les wc, qui est présente par moment. il ne faut pas oublier que nous sommes sur une île déserte et que traiter l’eau est une obligation qui implique d’utiliser sûrement des produits qui font cette odeur.

Tout ça pour dire. L’hôtel reste sympa. Pour un 4 étoiles.

Message à Riu: prenez exemple sur d’autres hôtels de l’île qui sont de vrais 5 étoiles.

Einfach nur wunder wunderschön.

Wir haben uns an diesem superschönen Strand total erholt. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Trotz der große des Hotels hatte man nie den Eindruck von Massentourismus innerhalb. Es gibt innerhalb der Anlage kleine Geschäfte, wo man Knabbersachen, Toiletten Artikel, Kleidung und Souvenirs kaufen kann. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!
Update nach 8 Jahren: immernoch super schön. Dieses Mal haben wir ein Zimmer im Adults only Bereich gebucht. Auch hier sind die Zimmer sehr schön. Allerdings sind die Wege zur Rezeption/zum Essen etwas weiter. Aber da man sonst nicht soooo viel Bewegung hat ist es immer ein guter Spaziergang. Das Essen war wieder sehr gut. Alles in allem ein großartiges Hotel ????

Nous avons passé un super séjour.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und auch ein großes Lob an die Angestellten die zu unseren Urlaub und auch Erholung beigetragen haben. Natürlich gibt es auch dort kleine Mängel aber das ist jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau.

The Touareg is a fantastic hotel I'd have no hesitation in returning to. The architecture of the hotel is stunning, looking like a sandcastle rising out of the beach and feeling palatial. Its design is genius, making a sprawling hotel feel like anything but. The staff are what really puts the hotel above anywhere else I've ever stayed, being friendly, attentive and caring and genuinely looking like they enjoy their work. Normally I'd avoid anywhere that offers entertainment but I found myself getting sucked into the midday pool gym or aerobics on five of my seven days. Much effort also goes into the evening entertainment, though wherever you choose to sit in the evening around the main square (where you'll find the only bars that are open) you can't avoid it. So I'm afraid the evenings spent with my family were not as enjoyable as they could be since it was impossible to hold a conversation.
The bar staff were efficient and there was never much of a wait to get drinks. The local beer is good, though the red wine a little rough. Cocktails were enjoyable though a little restrictive - I couldn't get an espresso martini for example.
We ate evening meals in the main restaurant and our breakfast and lunch at the snack restaurant. Food was varied and generally good quality, though it often felt that cuts of meat were on the cheap side - steaks a little chewy, lamb chops rather light on meat versus bone and fat. There was plenty of choice and it was easy to overeat through wanting to try everything. Cooked breakfasts were passable though the sausages are not what a Brit expects to be served (think tinned hotdog sausages).
The hotel is isolated, though you can walk anticlockwise around the coast to a nice viewpoint and beach in a little bay beyond. Sadly swimming in the sea isn't possible. The beach is fine white sand and the sea an inviting azure blue but the waves are huge, breaking close to the shore and I felt sorry for the lifeguards having to supervise people who'd, in no uncertain terms, been told not to swim.
Instead we opted to swim lengths in the infinity pool at 7am though it didn't officially open until 9am. However during the day this pool is full of children and lilos and the edges rather tightly packed with sunbeds to be comfortable. Sunbeds around the central pools felt more spaced out and comfortable, while the sunbeds on the beach were more spacious still and shaded, if you wanted, by palm trees. The pool edge bar is fantastic and it's easy to spend an afternoon sitting waist high in water drinking cocktails without ever having to leave the pool.
The room was comfortable and lovely and cool. It was tastefully if cheaply furnished but had everything we could need. The balcony was large and we were lucky to have a partial sea view. But even if your room looks across at other rooms, the building is beautiful to look at and you have inner courtyard gardens in-between. Three 1.5 litre bottles of water were left for us by room service each day. The safe in the wardrobe was great to keep valuables secure and the blackout blinds ensured the room was pitch black at night if desired.
I'm really nit picking in the few shortcomings as, on the whole, it was a fantastically relaxing and fun holiday and I'd be delighted to return.

If I could add more stars for service I would do. The people that work there could not do not for you if they tried. The hotel is pristine and the food is amazing. The beach is stunning but quite feisty, if there is a red flag I would advise you observe it. An amazing holiday, really recommend

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Me and my partner came here again for my 21st birthday due to last years experience being so good, however, this is no longer the case. On arrival we went to our room which had been abandoned and in the corner of the hotel. At first we noticed how unclean the room floor was and on further inspection that the room had never been cleaned due to the air conditioning being covered in thick mold (please find attached pictures) due to being asthmatic I could not stay in this room due to health reasons. We were then moved rooms which at first we were happy with until we later found out was a downgrade (paid extra for upgraded rooms). Now you would think it stops there but no… a week into the holiday things had seemed to slightly improve until the day we came back to the room after a day at the main pool and a pair of trainers were missing from the room at a value of £130. When we informed the TUI representative he sighed as if this is a common occurrence at the hotel and offered me and my partner a £104 trip (£52 each) for the inconvenience and said he would launch an investigation which would take between 48-72 hours and get back to us ASAP, okay fair enough so you’d think, apart from that we are still waiting to hear back 4 days later and the TUI representative is now no longer here for the rest of our stay (how convenient is that). We also had our quad biking excursion cancelled the day before, which was my 21st present (which is not the hotels fault but will be important later on) when trying to get a refund from the TUI representative we were told this could only be done in euros (cash) and that if we wanted to do quad biking to go to the locals on the beach, when mentioning the STOLEN TRAINERS situation we were informed that we would have to follow this up with the TUI representative that started the investigation… HE ISN’T HERE! It’s that frustrating it’s actually laughable. We were then told to report it to the hotel management (we already did and was told we’d be updated, we wasn’t) when we said we had, the TUI representative said to mention this again… so we did. We were now informed that we’d have to speak to the police that would be at the hotel at some point in the night an not informed of when or where they would be due to hotel staff not knowing. In all the holiday has been frustrating and a complete disappointment, definitely not the place to spend 2 weeks for your 21st. To anyone considering coming here please look elsewhere, this is not the place for a NO STRESS holiday, which is the hotel motto. PLEASE AVOID.

Su 1.000 ospiti, solo 20 generalmente fanno ill bagno nell'oceano, mentre gli altri restano alle piscine. Parlare di location non ha quindi gran senso. Rivolgendomi quindi alle persone che fanno parte di quei 20 su 1.000, attenzione che c'è costantemente bandiera rossa.
Quando le onde sono più basse, il bagno è possibile e i bagnini anche meno severi. Quando sono più alte, i bagnini fischiano anche se metti il piede nell'acqua, francamente eccessivo. Se la pensate come me, vi fate una passeggiata lungo la spiaggia incontaminata e, lontano dai bagnini, in maniera prudente potete fare quello che volete.
Ristorazione buona, servizio buono, stanze tranquille, struttura pulita.
Per chi sa apprezzare la vastità dell'oceano, posto meraviglioso.
Anche i turisti per caso che devono sfondarsi di cibo, drinks e animazione, rimarranno soddisfatti del posto.
Insomma, raccomandabile per tutti.

Zimmer ordentlich ,schimmel in der Klimaanlage, Deutsche wurden in den letzten Block gelegt, sonst nur Engländer, zum Essen ca 10 bis 15 Minuten laufen, Putzfrauen guter Service, Riu Hotel nicht weiter zu empfehlen

Super hôtel, rapport qualité prix génial

Ich habe viel über dieses Hotel gelesen,und komme zu dem Ergebnis das vieles zutrifft!! Ich habe 14 Tage im September 2023 da verbracht. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt, aber es gibt auch mägel. Personal versucht schtätz Freundlich und höflich zu sein,bei einer hohen Auslastung an Gästen. Wir reden ihr über 1200 Zimmern, mit einer der Größten Hotelanlagen.
70% Engländer der Rest Hölandisch Deutsch Französisch.. Man kann zur keiner Zeit ins Meer ( Rote Flagge) das muss einen klar sein.
Natürlich gibt es Pools, die aber leider auch in die Jahre gekommen sind. Natürlich hatten wir auch mit dem Zimmer
Einige Probleme, Klimaanlage Tropfte. Der Kontakt zwischen Balkon Tür, und Kontakt wahr lose. Klar bei einem Anruf war auch ein Monteur zur Stelle. Aber leider so verschließen gewesen, daß es nur eine Frage der Zeit war. Aber jetzt das Positives, dass Essen war jeden Tag einfach Super. Bei so einer Vielfalt,und Menge (Hotel Gästen) .lch kann dieses Hotel empfehlen wenn man einfach mal ausspannen möchte.

Alleen het zwembad moet echt gemoderniseerd en gerenoveerd worden.
Het water is heerlijk, maar de tegels laten los, je krijgt tijdens de leuke sportprogramma's sneetjes in je tenen.
Animatie avond programma mag later beginnen en nog leuker en mooier. Zoals de show Earth. Deze was schitterend!

Top hotel. Kamers zijn wel wat gedateerd. Maar zijn schoon en netjes. Personeel is super vriendelijk. Min punt is dat je niet kunt zwemmen in zee. De branding is veel te sterk bij het hotel. Gebeuren veel ongelukken. Ondanks de waarschuwingen.

First, two things:
If you want to swim in the sea, this hotel is not for you. Some sadist decided to build a hotel on the most beautiful beach where it's too dangerous to swim.
If you don't like cats, book elsewhere, there are lots, and they are popping with fleas.

Amazing place. Very underestimated. Staff can't do enough for you. Beach and surroundings are beautiful. Some parts are a bit dated but didn't spoil anything for us, all clean and very nice.
