Opened in 2005, this classy restaurant is nestled on the roof of a building, offering a beautiful view of the city and its harbour from its large windows or its terrace, when the weather permits. The food is good, with many Icelandic recipes and fresh produce, and the subdued decor is ideal for a meal for two. It is also possible to opt for a brunch on weekends between 12 and 2pm. Housed in a vast building, one of the oldest in the city, this restaurant offers good Icelandic and international cuisine, with a wide choice of grilled meats, fish and pizzas, all well presented and in good quantity. Although not haute cuisine, the dishes are hearty and it's nice to have a hot meal after a long day. A fine drinks and wine list on site. All in all, a very good address, right in the heart of downtown, with competent, fast and always smiling service.
