FREYA CAFÉ
One of those places in Iceland that warms the heart after a hike to the nearby Kvernufoss or Skógafoss waterfalls. Nestled inside the Skógar Folk Museum, this charming café with its tea-room feel is well worth a visit. Fresh flowers, a well-cared-for atmosphere and elegance right down to the plate: everything here exudes a taste for detail. You'll find savoury dishes and salads, but it's the home-made pastries and cupcakes that really make the difference. Prepared with passion, they are served with real human warmth, at very reasonable prices.
