Langisjor located in a very isolated area north of Lakagigat and southwest, with islets and mountains
Langisjór is a 27 km2 lake located in a very isolated area north of Lakagigar and southwest of Vatnajökull. The scenery, with the islets on the lake and the surrounding mountains, is spectacular! This is one of Iceland's purest mountain lakes. The trek between Landmannalaugar and Langisjór is a must if you're looking for total immersion. It's demanding (around a week), but can be organized with a local agency. You'll feel (almost) alone in the world!

Magique lac Langisjór
Difficile d'accès au bout d'une piste 4x4 (F235) on atteint un des plus grands lacs d'Islande. Le lac est tout en longueur et quand il fait beau, on peut voir les glaciers au fond de la vallée. Il est possible de camper sur la roche volcanique et surtout de faire de très belles ballades.
