A golden waterfall, the most famous in Iceland, pouring hundreds of tons of muddy water a few meters high
Gullfoss, the "Golden Waterfall", is Iceland's most famous waterfall. It pours hundreds of tons of muddy water 32 m high over the Hvítá, a river that rises from the Langjökull ice cap, a white mass that can be seen in the distance from Gullfoss. You'll also find a stele in honour of Sigridur Tomasdottir, daughter of the landowner who, at the turn of the century, threatened to throw herself into the waterfall if the hydroelectric plant project was not abandoned. She succeeded, and the site is still preserved today!

Gullfoss, la cascade Arc en Ciel
On ne peut qu'être sous le charme de ce lieu magnifique. Haute de 32 mètres et large de 70 mètres, cette cascade se décline sur 2 étages et grâce à son arc-en-ciel est très photogénique!

belle cascade
Il y a énormément de cascades en Islande mais celle ci est particulièrement impressionnante et photogénique. Elle est encore plus belle avec un arc en ciel.

Enorme
une des plus belles chutes d'eau d'Islande. Un chemin vous permet (mais vous serez un peu mouillé par les embruns) de vous rendre presque au pied des chutes d'eau
