We love this place. It's a very good stop for a full day "golden circle" trip. The Gullfuss is just around here so you may spend your morning there.
The environment is very cozy, quiet and comfortable. The staffs are also very kind and friendly. They provide northern light call so that you don't have to wait outside in the chill. Thanks to the staff, we are very lucky to see the northern lights and it was one of the most exciting experience in our life. It's like a place outside of the noisy world and you find your shelter and peace here. Wish I can keep this place for myself but really recommend you to spend some time here.

Beautiful hotel with very freindly staff. Even managed to see the northern lights overnight

Amazing place in something like nowhere.
We stayed there in a cold March and it was super warm inside. Rooms are cosy and we had almost best sleep in the room until we realize the northern lights are about to start. See attached shots

The breakfast was amazing too. We'll definitely stay there again once in the future

Very friendly team. Rooms were clean and relatively spacious. Food in restaurant for dinner was really good - limited choices but both meals we had - Salmon and lamb were excellent. Very convenient location. Recommended.

Certainly a very good hotel. We had a nice views on our window very close to the waterfall so if you have bad weather, one day, you can get up early the next morning avoid the crowds.
Very good breakfast rooms were nice. Staff is also very nice.

Außerordentlich gute Lage zwischen Gullfoss und Reykjavik. Alles gut zu erreichen. Das Personal sehr freundlich, das Frühstück und Abendessen reichlich und gut. Preis-leistungsverhältnis völlig okay.

Muy bien...no le falta nada, muy cerca del geysir y de la cascada gullfoss....
Pero aislado de todo...paz y tranquilidad, estacionamiento, decoracion minimalista

Amazing setting just down the road from Gullfoss falls. The rear of the hotel open out onto fantastic views down the valley. Staff in the hotel are very efficient and friendly. The dinner menu is limited to about 4 choices of mains, but all delicious, hot and beautifully presented. Breakfast buffet was amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay ????

Albergo a pochi minuti dalla cascata. Dall'albergo si può fare una bellissima passeggiata lungo il canyon ed arrivare alla cascata a piedi. Stanze carine e pulite. Sala ristorante molto bella, con buona colazione e cena.

A very nice and clean hotel, family run since 1988. Beautiful and quiet location about three kilometers south of Gulfoss on the Hvítá. There is also a nice hiking trail to the Gullfoss and along the canyon directly in front of the hotel. Very friendly staff and good service. The spacious double rooms are clean, bright and modernly furnished. From the restaurant with its high window wall, the view extends far into the plain along the Hvítá. Very tasty Icelandic à la carte dishes are served here in the evening - the lamb is highly recommended! Another positive thing to mention is that the food was cooked with local ingredients with no additives. The breakfast buffet offers an acceptable selection, of which we especially liked the homemade bread. One of the most beautiful hotels on our trip through Iceland! Thank you for having us!

Rideau efficace, il vaut mieux avec des nuits de 4h.

Struttura a 5 minuti di macchina dalla cascata Gullfoss. Camera spaziosa e con splendida vista sulle campagne islandesi. Nei dintorni non c'è molto quindi conviene cenare in hotel anche se abbastanza costoso: agnello fantastico e salmone altrettanto.
Colazione resa più buona dal pane fatto in casa.

Great location between Gulfoss Falls and Geysir. They were very accomodating with our request for an extra bed. Rooms were small but very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was decent. They have a kid-friendly menu for dinner with decent options and good food. You need to book in advance though.

Really cute place, clean with friendly and alwayes helpfull staff, i really loved to sstay there, i hope i can make it to go in winter time as well. I loved the Vegan friendly breakfast

Rooms are very good, though hotel not inspiring from outside view. We were very disappointed with the food in the evening which was billed as a vegetarian curry but essentially a tin of chick peas with some curry powder and overcooked rice which they charged top prices for. It was edible but not worth the cost at all. Looking at others fish and meat dishes didn't look much better so I wouldn't recommend eating an evening meal there. Breakfast was adequate. Good location for Gullfoss falls.

The Gullfoss Hotel proved to be a conveniently situated accommodation along the Golden Circle, offering a serene setting that granted us swift access at day's end and a hassle-free departure the next morning. The rooms were slightly above the average European size and, though modest in amenities, provided a comfortable stay. Additionally, the breakfast spread was satisfying, boasting a wide array of standard options to choose from.

Einfaches Hotel mit mit einem tollen Service. Saubere Zimmer mit geräumigem Bad und großer Dusche. Frühstück vollkommen ausreichen und lecker. Das Essen im Restaurant unglaublich gut. Bestes Lammfillet was ich bisher gegessen habe. Auch der Lachs und das Chickengericht waren geschmacklich auf hohem Niveau. Die Lage ist für zwei Übernachtungen auch genial, da mann von dort in aller Rohue zum Gullfoss-Wasserfall hin und zurück wander kann.

Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Karte ist klein (5 Hauptgerichte), aber die Zutaten sind frisch und der Geschmack ist hervorragend. Als Vorspeise empfehle ich besonders die Smoked Salmon Cucumber Rolls. Die Zimmer sind im Vergleich groß und auch sauber. Hier fehlt es einem wirklich an nichts!

Formidable hôtel très confortable, en pleine nature et au calme !
Les chambres sont superbes ainsi que la salle de bain.
Tout le personnel est super accueillant et bienveillant.
Le petit-déjeuner était formidable et les repas du soir succulents.
Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés et en toute confiance.

Ottima posizione, 3km dalle splendide cascate di GullFoss, ottima disponibilità di piatti a cena e colazione ricca !
Camera pulita ed essenziale, nel complesso ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
