Hjarðarból Guesthouse is conveniently located in South Iceland, between Hveragerði and Selfoss. Hjarðarból Farm was part of a government project to give people who want to become farmers a chance to do so. Kristján and his wife Halldóra built a beautiful farm with cattle, horses and sheep in the 1950s. Since then, Sigridur has developed the place with hot baths, but has kept a bucolic atmosphere, especially the dining room with its tea/coffee corner.
