This winter sports resort is the highest and largest in the Low Tatras, situated at the top of the Demänová Valley. It is situated at an altitude of 950 to 1,872 meters and has 40 ski runs on both sides of the valley with a total length of 50 km. Accessible on its northern side through the Demänová valley, it is dotted with hotels that grow in an inharmonious way, sometimes in concrete, sometimes in wood, the promoters are having a field day. Its southern side is more preserved. This modern resort offers many activities, summer and winter: skiing of course, but also hiking, horseback riding, paragliding and tree climbing.
