This forest area, a superb region, is ideal for walks, between woods and ponds. It also has some very interesting buildings. The church (Karlovský kostel), which dates back to 1754, is a beautiful example of religious architecture typical of the region. Don't miss the Karlovské Fojtsví, an architectural ensemble made of wood. The main building is surrounded by low buildings, the roof of which is the main part. However, you will be far away from the tourist routes: accommodation with local people is the rule and English-speaking guides are rare. Be prepared for a little taste of adventure.
