PARCOURS DES CHEMINEURS
Discovery trail through the former mines (Les Fosses d'Enfer) of Saint-Rémy, along the River Orne and the village of Saint-Rémy
This trail in the footsteps of the "gueules rouges" (Saint-Rémy's miners) runs from the banks of the Orne to the hills and back to Les Fosses. For a stroll, follow the greenway past the hematite crusher, the tunnel entrance (ground zero of the mine), the furnaces, the syncline, the Froger-Gosselin spinning mill with its chimney and mansion, and back to Les Fosses. You can continue along the greenway, then head back up to the village and its 11th-century church, before continuing on to the mining town.
