Saint-Rémy is a small town in Normandy Switzerland whose history dates back to medieval times, as evidenced by its Romanesque church. Saint-Rémy is best known for its mining history. Everything in the village bears witness to the industrial activity of the 19th and 20th centuries, from the old iron mine to the Froger-Gosselin spinning mill, as well as the cities built for miners and the roasting ovens. Once specialized in pharmaceutical dressings, the family company Froger has now become Cotomed. The former Musée des Fosses d'Enfer, located near the greenway, closed in 2014, has become a cultural centre for the premises and a place dedicated to tourism, with a food court and a bivouac area for holidaymakers. To get there: green buses line 34.
