Glacier

With its vintage decor, it's a favorite of locals and tourists looking for a good ice cream and a break on the quays of Dorsoduro. It's not the trendiest place, but it's a treat! Now's the time to order the local delicacy: gianduiotto, a chocolate specialty swimming in whipped ice cream. Then, with the Zattere as your terrace, you can relax on a blue and aluminum chair and enjoy the sunset over Giudecca, for example.

Now a ubiquitous ice cream shop in Italy, Grom has not given in to the excesses of mass distribution. The principle is simple and rigorous: fresh and seasonal products for this establishment with a pure and modern design. The gelati, whose flavors change with the seasons, are simply exquisite. Its crema di Grom (custard with cookie chips and chocolate chips) has become its iconic flavor. In winter, don't miss the opportunity to try the creamy hot chocolate. Four addresses in the heart of the lagoon.

GELATERIA CA’ D’ORO

Glacier

On the Strada Nova, the ice creams are good and everyone knows it. There is a crowd, everyone wants one and finally, in order not to make those who are waiting behind wait too long, we decide quickly, we choose at random and... we always have a good surprise! Without going into the eccentric, the traditional perfumes are there, few in number, but well made and tasty. So don't hesitate to try a vanilla/chocolate cone or a strawberry/lemon cup. A nice variation is the homemade vanilla or chocolate magnums, covered with small chips.

GELATERIA LO SQUERO

Glacier

As with all the good places in Venice, this one doesn't look like much. And it's not here yet that Venice will succeed in ruining you. Go to the Squero San Trovaso (gondola repair shop), near the Accademia. You'll easily recognize this little store by its blue-and-white-striped marquee. Refreshing colors for devilishly creamy ice creams, which bring Venetians from far and wide to savor their gelato sitting on the edge of the little canal. No flavor here would disappoint. We'll let you be the judge!

GELATERIA MILLEVOGLIE DA TARCISO

Glacier

This well known gelateria is located just behind the Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. They serve you with a smile. The store is divided into two distinct counters: on one side, the ice cream counter, which is a must, and on the other side, the one reserved for pizzas, paninis and buns. To return to the ice creams, they are certainly appetizing but especially made from natural flavors. They are rich in flavors and taste. So much so that everyone comes back to it!

LA MELA VERDE

Glacier

Nice gelateria in the Castello area, where such addresses are rare. Well appreciated by the locals and the tourists who discover this little gem, who like to pick up a cone and then take a bite while strolling along the Riva degli Schiavoni. La Mela Verde offers a wide range of refreshing and quality sorbets: strawberry, raspberry, grapefruit, lemon, kiwi and of course... green apple (the name of the shop)! The wafers on the cones are perfect. When the ice cream meets the fruit, we crack without hesitation!

With gluten-free, lactose-free and even vegan recipes, traditional ice creams with monstrously delicious flavors, and constantly evolving quality ingredients, Suso has established itself as one of Venice's finest ice cream makers since 2010. Stracciatella, coffee, pistachio, caramel, hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, lemon... here, the great classics taste exceptional. As the price of success, it's not unusual to have to wait 10-20 minutes to get to the counter. But it's worth it, and gourmets may well come back.

GELATERIA ALASKA

Glacier

Carlo Pistacchi is no slouch. He's a passionate and daring shopkeeper. At his place, there's always a crowd of shoppers, those who discover and above all those who come back! It's worth mentioning that you'll be able to taste original, artisanal, additive-free ice creams here. The flavors concocted here are truly surprising. They range from ginger tiramisu and celery to artichoke, cinnamon, basil and fennel... Don't hesitate to try it, it's divine, so much so that some customers refer to the owner of L'Alaska as a happiness maker.

GELATERIA PAOLIN

Glacier

One of the institutions of artisan Venetian ice cream, not to be missed under any circumstances (like everything else, by the way). The chocolate flavor is literally to... fall down! The address has a little bit of 1970s glamour, with its large terrace on the Campo and its tables in the sun, as well as its ice cream sundaes that you would see in a vintage series: peach Melba, banana chocolate, and coffee sabayon, served with whipped cream and homemade wafers. Something to feast on at any time of the day. The café also serves sandwiches for a quick meal on the go.
