Along a quiet canal in Dorsoduro, a restaurant with a quirky and intimate atmosphere that suits the neighborhood. On small tables close to each other, an experienced kitchen team will serve you the specialties of Venice with balance and know-how. The seafood risotto is impeccable, the spaghetti with lobster generous and the cuttlefish with polenta tasty. All of this is complemented by a selection of reasonably priced wines. In a chic and informal setting, we admire the chef Salvatore Sodano and his team, visible in the open kitchen, who use the best seasonal ingredients to create dishes where creativity reigns supreme. Indeed, it would be difficult to find another place to enjoy spaghetti with oysters and smoked butter, flavored with bergamot, or quail with raspberries and cocoa. The presentation of the plates is worthy of contemporary works of art.

The ground floor of Palazzo Venier (from the th century), the ancient residence of the Giorgione, welcomes you today in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, the temple of good artisanal cheese, which does not feel good. You can settle outside, around tables along the Grand Canal and on Campo San Sylvester, or inside under old, refreshing stone arches. The kitchen is typically Venetian, although innovative: there are for all tastes. Wine and cheese tastings are regularly organised. The house can also create banquets, buffets, etc. on request.

Giovanni, the expert manager of this quiet place, has turned it into a first-rate address. Le Chat qui Rit's cuisine focuses on seafood products, in flavor combinations that fill the taste buds with pleasure (pan-fried octopus with foie gras, langoustine tartar, scallop sauce and Dashi Yuzu broth...).

An osteria that takes its name from the traditional fishing boat of the lagoon, the bragosso. The restaurant's typically marine décor contributes to creating a simple and friendly atmosphere, in a spacious setting that extends over two rooms and an outdoor terrace, all along the very commercial Strada Nuova. Al Vecio imagines a tasty and surprising cuisine, between secular recipes and contemporary notes, in which seafood products are obviously the first guests, resources from the market of Chioggia.

The Antica Mola is a specifically Venetian restaurant with a menu centered around fish. It is located along the wonderful Fondamenta degli Ormesini, one of the most picturesque quays in Venice. The address is divided between a cozy interior and an outdoor terrace, with the added bonus of a lovely internal courtyard. Daily offerings include squid ink risotto and Venetian-style liver, not to mention sarde in saor and spider crab. Finish the meal with tasty and fragrant homemade desserts

You have to go and find it, this restaurant, located alongside an old shipyard where two gondolas have served their purpose... Access is via an industrial staircase. Once up there, you won't regret the trip. Not least because the terrace enjoys a unique panorama over the lagoon, far from the Venetian hubbub.
