For a good gelato, go to Biagi, the oldest ice cream shop in Sarzana. You can choose between cream ice cream, fruit ice cream and semifreddi, a kind of frozen parfait, the most famous of which is the one with royal jelly: a good way to get your strength back after a visit to the city, or to take some with you when you go to discover the town. Since its reputation spread in the 1990s, the store has had time to refurbish itself, with a design touch in its interior and a huge ice cream counter. One downside: the welcome is not always warm.
