An incredible retro café that has not moved since 1954 and its opening to the public. The time seems to have stopped there! And yet the decoration is more current than ever, typical of this Scandinavian design again in the last few years. The couple of old ones to whom you're ordering, is not smiling, but their dry cakes are home-made.

This bar-restaurant turns into a nightclub from midnight. The atmosphere is always festive at weekends. The audience is mixed enough, which is rare in Östermalm, and eager to have fun.

Still a trendy place where you need to be seen. In an Oriental setting, you may have the chance to experience a local celebrity if you recognize it!

No posters of Tintin and no chinoiserie but decor all in oriental gilt, Hindu statues, mellow sofa, old mirrors, small tables scattered in all shapes. The clientele is composed exclusively of young people, some of whom fit with the psychedelic coffee atmosphere.

The ideal place for those who love the retro bars and the blues. Young nerds go there to discuss, thoughtlessly and beer by hand. The location, very small, grows in the summer of some tables on the street. It is also a champagne bar where you can taste our French specialities with glass or bottle.

Just next to Bistro Jarl, at the Birger Jarlsgatan 9, there is a th century gallery, Birger Jarl Passage, where you can find some cafes and konditoris (nice snacks) where it is right to stop late in the afternoon. Examples include Selma's, Enzo and Mathilde, Depå and the Recession Cafe.

Chairs at the counter, snakes or roots leaving the ceiling, tile on both walls and toilets. It is a pity that the reception is not more warm. Make a provision for free advertising postcards, they are very beautiful. A place very famous for Friday and Saturday evening when a DJ comes to an officer.

Café Opera is a style comparable to the Cathedral of Paris, which probably makes it the most famous and well-known cafe-restaurant in Stockholm. Its location, it is true, is ideal, at the bottom of the Kungsträdgården gardens and practically in the intimacy of the Royal Castle. Around the bar or roulette cross the women in search of a "golden boy". Many take the aperitif, but most of them appear around 23 pm, when the coffee is crowded and the atmosphere at its top level.

Another classic pub, relatively small, where one is greeted by traditional Irish music. It also offers dishes, but it must be recognized that its rates are quite high.

A trendy place where students come on a coffee or a pastry day. Like most coffees, this is a place for discussion and there is no music. And it's all the better because on the other side of a fine separation are many international magazines that can be browsed. It is spacious, bright and the delicacies it offers are delicious. Inaugurated in 1908 with a Pièce play, the Dramaten is the dramatic Royal Theatre of Stockholm and the country's national theatre. In this majestic marble building, we give both Shakespeare and Brecht, comedies such as magazines and, of course, the strindbergien repertoire.

Hornhuset is the place where you go, no matter what time of day your mood is, because it's where you find everything! To eat, watch a game and discuss a drink in hand: it's Enzo's! Warm and lively atmosphere in this Italian restaurant. Rather need a cosy atmosphere like a rainy Sunday or the end of the day? Settle down in Laïka, where you will be served drinks and snacks in a double bed. For beer lovers, direction Biergarten. A place that will open soon; inspired by the German capital. And for the rest: rooftop!

Debaser is one of the clubs where the atmosphere is always there. With a varied program of concerts and DJs, Debaser is a good place to spend an evening dancing, meeting people and eventually watching the sun rise in Tanto Park when the evening ends! Emblematic place, HQ of the young generation. Here, it's two rooms, two atmospheres, so if the loud decibels are not for you, go to the next room to enjoy the bar and a corner table to chat, more quietly.

This small Internet café is conveniently located next to the metro station. It is open late and is not too expensive.

Il Caffè is one of the locals' favorite places to have a fika. In a minimalist and industrial decor, the artists and hipsters of the island meet there to drink a coffee, nibble a kanelbulle, spend the afternoon working behind their computer or reading a book. The charming terrace allows you to relax in the sun while observing the comings and goings of Söder's inhabitants. The place is close to a concept store, as the (delicious) bakery S:t Paul has a stand and a breakthrough in the wall opens the space to a florist.

Built in 1852, Södra Teatern is one of the oldest theaters in Sweden still in operation. During the week, the program is eclectic, between concerts, debates and Swedish and international plays. But when the weekend comes, the place becomes a very popular meeting point for Stockholm's youth for its club with a breathtaking view of the capital. The atmosphere is rather trendy, the electronic music and the parties often queer. The club spreads over three floors of different sizes and ambiences.

The Af Chapman, a sumptuous 1990s sailing ship moored on Skeppsholmen Island, is a youth hostel, but it is also a bar and restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Royal Castle and the Old Town. Whether you're enjoying a meal or a drink, everyone will agree that it has one of the best views of Stockholm harbour. Debaser is a good music and show bar with a simple decoration. It's quite small, so don't expect huge shows, but it's still a rather underground place in Stockholm, offering concerts of all kind of music. The prices are quite reasonable for Stockholm. Wayne's is Sweden's first coffee shop chain. With a touch of the USA, Wayne's is a coffee shop that satisfies even the most demanding gourmets. This upscale chain offers freshly ground organic coffee, good salads, the famous Swedish kannelbullar , English scones, or refreshing smoothies. This is again a great fika address, where a good choice of different delicacies is offered. Located at the central station of Stockholm, Waynes is a perfect address to have a quick snack or to take away.

Take a fika break in the middle of Djugården during a day in Skansen! In this small traditional Swedish café, you will find seasonal treats and drinks. Rhubarb pie in the sunshine of the inner courtyard, blooming in spring, or inside lit with candles, protected from the snow, with a Viennese chocolate in winter... In the street of the cinephiles, a cinema that shows the great films of the moment. It was here that Kronobageriet baked up to 60,000 loaves of bread a day, until it closed in 1958. Bread had been baked here for 300 years. This is the place for budding intagrammers, and with good reason: the decor couldn't be more Swedish. Sleek white walls, wooden furniture... You can see the bread coming out of the oven, and its aroma fills the room. A wide variety of Swedish pastries are on offer. Prices are a little high, but the quality is top-notch.
