Bromma Stockholm Airport is one of Sweden's largest airports by passenger volume. It is located only 9 km from the center of Stockholm. The airport is mainly used for domestic flights (to Gothenburg, Visby), but it also provides some international connections (to Belgium with Brussels Airlines). Shuttles to Stockholm Central (www.flygbussarna.se): SEK 99 one way and SEK 198 round trip for adults; SEK 89 one way and SEK 169 round trip for children under 18.

It is the former airport of low-cost airlines, but since 2021 it mainly provides connections with Eastern Europe and southern Spain. However, new routes should be launched in the coming years! The airport is quite far from the city, so it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach the center. Shuttles to Stockholm Central (www.flygbussarna.se): SEK 219 one way and SEK 438 round trip for adults.

Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport is Sweden's largest airport and an important hub for the Stockholm region and all of Scandinavia, with flights to 147 destinations. Upon exiting, shuttle buses take you into central Stockholm: SEK 129 one way and SEK 209 round trip for adults. If you're in a hurry, the Arlanda Express train takes you to central Stockholm in 20 minutes for SEK 320 (SEK 600 round trip).

Katarinahissen is visible from Södermalm, facing the crossroads that connects the island to Gamla Stan. It was built in 1881 to connect Slussen with the heights of Södermalm, which were difficult to reach on foot. The lift was fitted with an electric motor in 1915, but the old system was scrapped in 1933 and replaced with a new, more modern lift and footbridge. The view from the top of Katarinahissen is very interesting.

SJ is the national railway company. It serves all of Sweden, but also Oslo, Narvik, Copenhagen, and since 2022 night trains go to Hamburg and Berlin. The trains are very comfortable, fast and clean, and the landscapes you travel through on them are sometimes breathtaking. It is by far the best option to travel within the country. As far as prices are concerned, the fares are affordable (especially if you book in advance) and there are discounts for young people, students and seniors.

City Terminalen is a modernist building located in downtown Stockholm (just across from T-centralen). It is the largest bus station in the city. Every day, about 800 buses use City Terminalen as their arrival and departure point. From here you can travel all over Sweden and Europe. Here you will find shuttle buses to Skavsta, Bromma and Arlanda airports. There are also cafés and restaurants, a currency exchange office, a lost and found office (in case of lost luggage at the airport), and the bus companies' counters.
