It is the former airport of low-cost airlines, but since 2021 it mainly provides connections with Eastern Europe and southern Spain. However, new routes should be launched in the coming years! The airport is quite far from the city, so it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach the center. Shuttles to Stockholm Central (www.flygbussarna.se): SEK 219 one way and SEK 438 round trip for adults.

Katarinahissen is visible from Södermalm, facing the crossroads that connects the island to Gamla Stan. It was built in 1881 to connect Slussen with the heights of Södermalm, which were difficult to reach on foot. The lift was fitted with an electric motor in 1915, but the old system was scrapped in 1933 and replaced with a new, more modern lift and footbridge. The view from the top of Katarinahissen is very interesting.

There are many taxi companies in Stockholm, such as Taxi Kurir, Sverige Taxi or Taxi Stockholm. As in France, it is also possible to contact companies such as Uber, thanks to the application on smartphone, which are very widespread in the capital. In any case, it remains a rather expensive option in Stockholm, but quite practical, we must admit! We especially take advantage of it when we come back late in the evening, or if we want to visit the surroundings of Stockholm and bring all our little family with us!
