Town Hall built in 1936 and 1941 to celebrate the anniversary of the Aarhus Charter, hosting guided tours
This building was designed by Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) between 1936 and 1941, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Aarhus Charter. Its walls are covered with grey Norwegian marble over 6,000m2. The view from the top of the tower (60 meters) encompasses the whole city. To get there, you can take the elevator, the most courageous will climb the 345 steps. A guided tour of the town hall is organised every Saturday. No need to book, just meet in front of the main entrance on Rådhuspladsen where there is a Pølsevogn, a hot dog stand.
