Probably the prettiest street in Aarhus! Its name means "the mill path". Charming and timeless, with its cobblestones, tiny half-timbered houses, hollyhocks and bicycles hanging from the entrances. Most were built in the late 19th century, even though the district dates back to Viking times. Known as "sheds" or "cabanes", these modest dwellings have just one floor, one or two small-paned windows, a kitchen and a living room. Close to the river, vegetable gardens were cultivated at the rear of the plots.
