TORVET

Torvet is a very wide cobbled street, lined with beautiful houses with many colourful facades. As you stroll along, pay attention to a picturesque detail that is not very common nowadays. Some houses are still equipped with gadespejl: these double mirrors installed in the windows (a kind of rear-view mirror that could also be seen on the doors of the Parisian concierges' lodges), very useful for observing what was going on in the street without needing to go out and above all without being seen, sheltered behind one's curtains... in complete discretion.
