FÆLLEDPARKEN
The largest park in the capital. 56 hectares landscaped between 1906 and 1914 by the landscape gardener Edvard Glæse on former pastures. Shaded by venerable trees under which the chess players sit and with a large lake, pavilions and water jets, the "People's Park" deserves its name. In fact, apart from the outdoor activity enthusiasts, it becomes the place where workers gather every May 1st for a festive and demanding gathering. A very "Fête de l'Huma" atmosphere! Near the lake, Café Pavillonen houses a bandstand.
