Housed in a building with an elegant white stone façade, the showroom lives up to expectations for a venerable house that supplies the Danish royal family. Contemporary furnishings, minimal and architectural, highlight the brilliance and purity of the silverware's lines. Dishes and cutlery, of course, but also fine watches and silver jewelry. Two reasons to make a detour. Firstly, the superb building designed by Jørn Utzon, the Danish architect of the Sydney Opera House. Inside, you can appreciate the arrangement of volumes and the diffusion of natural light. Next, you'll immerse yourself in the must-have of Danish design. Ole Paustian founded this furniture store in 1964. The most famous names are gathered in this sublime showroom. BANG & OLUFSEN CENTER

Multimedia store

BO for the inmates! This famous Danish brand of high-end radios, televisions and hi-fi systems was created in 1925 by two school friends, Svend Olufsen and Peter Bang, in a remote countryside of Jutland (the head office is still there, in Struer, 11,000 inhabitants!). His products are nowadays exhibited in some art museums (notably at the Museum of Modern Art in New York): advanced technology, a sense of design and crazy prices. His showroom at the foot of the Radisson Hotel in Frederiksberg allows you to dream in front of the latest novelties.

FIL DE FER

Fashion store

Beautiful store near the Marble church. Superb presentation of objects, many of which will be familiar to you and, for good reason, they come from France for the most part. Here, melon bells, coffee bowls from our grandmothers or statues of the Virgin are furiously exotic in these protestant latitudes. Frenchy trend but you can also find some Danish glasses or plates. The anti-kitsch: everything here is chosen and highlighted with taste. Further up the same street, at n° 116, there is a Fil De Fer Botanik, a florist version of the parent company.

CARMEN COPENHAGEN

Thrift shop

Carmen is one of the oldest thrift stores in town. You will easily recognize the shop by the Dannebrog floating in front and the clothes hanging just below. On National Holiday, only red coins! A thrift shop, of course, but a thrift shop that contains rather select treasures and therefore scratched, with a focus on the 1970s and 1980s. A decorative corner slips in among the leathers, dresses and shoes. Cushions, plaids visible in the window. Run there if you like to chase, if only for the look!
