French garden comprising a parterre, a waterfall garden, and a crown garden with a bandstand and a playground.

According to studies, the Bishopric’s garden was designed by André Le Nôtre, creator of the gardens of Versailles. Adjacent to the former Episcopal Palace and St. Peter’s Cathedral, this French garden was originally composed of three parts: the Parterre, the Jardin des Cascades and the Jardin de la Couronne. Recreated in 1837, you can admire a bandstand dating from 1880 and enjoy the shady areas while children play in the playground reserved for them. A haven of peace, nicely flowered in season, in the heart of the city.
