Museum in Le Molay-Littry proposing a discovery of the history of the miners' life through portraits and testimonies.
Since 2021, after a year of work, the Coal Mine Museum has been modernized and is even more worth a visit. The history of the mine began in 1741, when a farmer discovered a seam of coal in Littry. Two centuries of intense industrial activity followed. Nearly 2,000 miners worked there and more than 2 million tons of coal were extracted. This museum honors you with a reconstituted mine gallery with rails, wagons, miners' testimonies and exceptional pieces, such as the Périer brothers' fire pump, dating from 1800.

Excellent petit musée. Les enfants ont été interessés jusqu'au bout de la visite, dommage qu'il soit un peu isolé à la sortie du bourg. Par contre le parking est grand et appréciable car juste à coté de l'entrée. Accueil sympatique.
