Daecheon is a small town 40 km away from Buyeo in the municipality of Boryeong. Every year there is a crazy and popular mud festival which we recommend you to take part in. The beach is 13 km from the town centre and the railway station, but it is a small town in itself and is almost the only place of interest. Muchangpo, another beach south of the previous one, however, may be a good alternative. Twice a year there is a phenomenon called "Moses' phenomenon", as in Jindo: at low tide, a 1.5 km strip of sand is exposed and allows the passage from the coast to the island of Seokdaedo.
