Souk aux fruits secs (dried fruit souk) where street vendors often sell nougats, a delicacy much appreciated by Marrakchis

This colorful, gourmet thoroughfare is a paradise for dates, strings of dried figs, peanuts, walnuts, almonds and other delicacies. Vendors are happy to let you sample their wares. This is also where you'll often find the nougat hawkers: a must-try! Sesame, pistachio, orange blossom... Here, too, you can nibble a small piece of this delicacy, much appreciated by Marrakchis, and leave with a small assortment for a handful of dirhams.
