SOUK SEMARINE
Go there and contact
The Souk Semarine, once occupied by farriers and blacksmiths, is now populated by bazaarists who sell everything.
Rue El-Ksour leads to the famous Souk Semarine. This is probably the district's busiest and liveliest central thoroughfare. If you turn right, you'll reach Place Jemaâ el-Fna in a straight line, but this is far from the most interesting route: Semarine is mainly populated by bazaarists selling everything from textiles to pastries, and kissaria (covered markets). The name Semarine comes from masmare, meaning "nail", as the district was once occupied by blacksmiths.
