Avenue Mohammed V, designed by architect Henri Prost, is the main landmark for lost travelers
Traced by the architect Henri Prost at the time of the French protectorate, the Avenue Mohammed V connects the medina to the Guéliz, constituting the main landmark for lost travellers. Starting from the Koutoubia, the avenue Mohammed V leaves the medina by Bab el Nkob, the Poterne, to go towards the Guéliz djebel. It is on this artery that the main administrations, banks, tourist agencies, clothing shops (specializing in the reproduction of major brands at discounted prices for tourists) or large cafes gather.
