Inaugurated in June 2025, this brand-new laboratory museum is just a few minutes' walk from Museum Island. Built on the medieval remains of the Petrikirche, the first church in the old town of Cölln, visitors can explore the historic foundations in the basement through an archaeological window. Glassed-in workshops and restoration laboratories complete the tour, highlighting all stages of archaeological work. The study collections feature objects from prehistory to modern times.
