In this charming villa on the shores of Lake Wannsee, Max Liebermann, one of the leaders of German Impressionist painting, painted his most beautiful pictures. These are on display on the first floor, on the site of his former studio, while the rooms on the ground floor depict the life of the painter and his family, including the tragic fate of his wife Martha, who was forced to commit suicide to escape deportation.
