Kreuzberg is full of trendy brunch spots, serving poached eggs and avocado toast. Fortunately, at Annelies you won't find anything like that. The menu is rather minimalist and changes according to the season, but the dishes are creative and very aesthetic. If the pancakes (savory or sweet) are the café's star dishes, the revelation is the scrambled eggs covered with smoked egg yolk on a slice of sourdough bread. Be prepared to wait in line, the café is a neighborhood favorite and does not take reservations.
