Historic 2-kilometre park founded in 1655, offering Baden-Baden residents and holidaymakers the chance to take a stroll.
The Lichtentaler Allee is a historical park founded in 1655 and has a promenade of more than 2 kilometers. It became famous in the 19th century thanks to its famous visitors. This Sunday walk for the inhabitants of Baden-Baden and vacationers was a favorite place for the German aristocracy, diplomats, artists and European royalty to stroll. The city was called the "summer capital of Europe". The Lichtentaler Allee, which was redesigned as an English garden in 1850, now features some three hundred different species of trees.
