This Cistercian cloister dating back to the th century is a marvel not to be missed. The architecture of today's monastery, surrounded by old half-timbered buildings, is a superb example of Romanesque and Gothic art (sober, stripped). There were the Cistercian monks, which were true ascetics forbidding more than 20 minutes of words per day (sign language would find its origins in the mode of diversion of the ban…). You can still see the monks'cells, their extensive wooden bed with a few strands of straw.

Ravissant Monastère, qui fut pendant un temps aussi résidence du gouvernement Bade-Wurttemberg. Visite guidée intéressante mais en Allemand seulement (anglais sur réservation). En plus, Bebenhausen est un petit village ravissant avec 2 très bons restaurants !
